The North Lawndale Early Learning Collaboration (NLELC) is a monthly meeting of community members who work in, access, or are interested in early learning.

The collaboration is focused on connecting families to local programs and enrolling children in high-quality early learning programs. Meeting spaces are open to the public to hear about ongoing projects and opportunities in the area.

Playful Learning is a project that brings learning opportunities into everyday spaces where families and young children can learn while having fun! In North Lawndale, families and community members chose Douglass Boulevard as the location for this early-math focused installation. This installation, along with others in North Lawndale, intends to use existing green spaces and elements of the neighborhood to “mathematize” the space.

The installations can be found on Douglass Boulevard between Central Park and St. Louis Ave., at the Farm on Ogden, the Central Park Pink Line, and across from the MLK Legacy Apartments.
